Breaking Through with Kristin Rowe-Finkbeiner (Powered by MomsRising)
It's the 20th Anniversary of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), but family leave remains unpaid despite the fact that having paid leave is proven to be better for families, for healthy starts, to save funds in the long run, and moms in 177 other countries have some form of paid leave after a new child arrives.  On this show we cover how far we've come, and how far we have yet to go on critical policies like the fight for paid family leave,  fair pay, and immigration reform.

Special guests include: U.S. Representative Rosa DeLauro; Lisa Maatz, American Association of University Women (AAUW); Dr. Eileen Applebaum, author and former director of the Rutgers Center for Women and Work; Mary Olivella, MomsRising superstar; Carol Joyner, Labor Project for Working Families.
