Breaking Through with Kristin Rowe-Finkbeiner (Powered by MomsRising)
We start out hearing the inside scoop about the SXSW, the uber hip conference of musicians and culture makers.  Then we move to talking about how the Stand Your Ground laws could impact you, your family, and your community.  And ask the important question: Is anyone safe with these types of laws on the books?  Next up we hear directly about the terrible, awful, no good Arizona law that tried to legalize discrimination (Yes, you heard that right: A bill that pretty much read like an Onion joke nearly passed.).  Governor Jan Brewer just vetoed that bill, but it was a close call. We'll hear what this trend means for the rest of our nation. Last, but far from least we hear from Sam Kass, the Executive Director of the White House Let's Move Campaign, and Monifa Bandele, about the latest wins in the fight against childhood obesity and for all kids to have access to healthy foods.
