Breaking Through with Kristin Rowe-Finkbeiner (Powered by MomsRising)

Stop the madness! It's not the 1960s anymore but women still earn, on average, 23% less than men for the same work. Mothers and women of color earn less. It's time for this madness to end! This year Equal Pay Day – the day that marks how far into 2013 women have to work to earn what men earned for the same work in 2012 -- is April 9th, 2013.  And, on this show we talk about what it's going to take for women to finally get equal pay for equal work.

Thank you to special guests, including: Rinku Sen, Applied Research Center (ARC) and the publisher of Colorlines.com; Judy Litchtman, National Partnership for Women and Families; U.S. Representative Rosa DeLauro; Sharon Parrot, Center on Budget and Policy Priorities; Lisa Maatz, American Association of University Women (AAUW).
